New MacBook pro

A few weeks ago I made a the decision to finally get a laptop (my first ever). Up until now I have had no need for one. I bought a new iMac last year and still couldn’t find a reason to buy a laptop. But after making the decision to go totally Mac, (I’m upgrading my old PC) I will only use Mac computers. Am I crazy?????? Lucky for me the new MacBook pro looks sexy and the LED screen fab. I can’t wait. On second thoughts, I think I’ll will wait, at least until after christmas .

Logic Hell !!!

Yesterday I spent the best part of my day stuck in my studio trying to work out, how to increase the recording levels when recording in Logic pro 8. 5 hours later, I came up with this neat solution.

I just copied the track 4 TIMES , (only needed 2 but just to give you options). This just amplified the sound. This trick never used to work. With previous versions of logic it sounded too synthesized, but finally Apple has solved this problem. Hurray!!! Funny thing is my old trusted Roland VS-1680 has always been able to do this and it’s 9 years old. Which in computer years is like 150.

Wonder Cream!

This cream really works. Yesterday I blogged about my skin being awful this year. I have been enduring an outbreak of rashes across my face for the last two weeks. I put this down to the antibiotics I was taking when I had Viral Bronchitis. But last night I was staring at this pot of  on my medicine cabinet and decided to give it a try. I smothered it across my face and went to bed with the face of a ghost, as it left a white film (it wouldn’t work as a day cream). Unbelievably I woke up this morning spot free. This is my favourite product of the week. Thank you Sudocrem for returning my skin back to normal. xxxx

Jason Calacanis rocks the stage of Open Coffee Athens XV

I love London I really do and at 18 I made a conscious decision that this is the most creative place to live after toying with the idea of heading for Paris and New York. granted we are innovative but why do lack the entrepreneurial drive found in a America.

Fundamental Darkness

I’ve woken up for the last two days wondering what I’m doing. This is a strange time to suddenly lose your way. I don’t, and have never really felt like a musician. I feel more like an artist who uses music as a medium, but how do you explain this to people? It’s been bugging me because I’m back in the studio working on songs. I had a moment yesterday when I was feeling like I was returning my past when everything sounded flat and lifeless. There’s nothing worse than working for hours on end on something you have created and hate. I’ve decided to abandon studio production as I’ve known it for the last 10 years and work as if I were at my piano. I must blog about  Joanna (my Piana) another time.

 For some odd reason my hair started thinning, and subsequently falling out at the front. Hysterical to all my friends, this is a picture from then. My friend Fab teased me relentlessly for three months. When I told him that all my girlfriends thought it was a good look, he turned to me and said “perhaps they said it because you are now less attractive!” I have never laughed so much that day. I did get a few odd looks though. Actually 2008 has been a tough year for me. My skin had more spots than a teenager and my hair fell out. Well, things can only get better right?

I thought I’d show some shots of me at home that I would never usually be seen. This one is one of my favourite bad shots. Taken on my new toy at the time my Canon pocket size camera, I look like a clown because I had to wear foundation for the first time to cover an out break of (cake related) spots. I had no Idea that I had this two tone thing going on and of course nobody bothered to tell me. But it was still I preferred this to the bad skin underneath.
